golden rule.

December 14, 2012 § 1 Comment

I have officially gone through all stages of grief in the last half hour. I don’t know anyone in Connecticut, and have no personal connection to those intimately involved aside from humanity.

Neil Gaiman tweeted that now was the time to go offline and away. To which I add and hug everyone you see.

I don’t believe in guns.

I believe in helping humans.

We refuse to provide necessary resources to our social services. We are too interested in providing for ourselves to help others who clearly are in need. Mentally and physically.

We respond to such tragedies with anger, outrage and prayer. None of which will do anything for this situation, or for preventing another similar scenario from happening.

Today, don’t pray. Do something tangible.

Appreciate those around you. Every single person. Whether you know them or not, they are human beings. Treat them with respect and provide them with whatever they need – a smile, a dollar, a hug. It will do more to make our world safer and our lives better than anything else.

Hi! I could have sworn I’ve been to this blog before but after reading through some of the post I realized it’s new to me.

Nonetheless, I’m definitely delighted I found it and I’ll be book-marking
    and checking back often!
